Follow-Up Readiness

Follow-up readiness is one of Revvye's eight scored dimensions, measuring whether a business's public site sets a clear, visible expectation for what happens after a visitor submits an inquiry, form, or booking request — including confirmation pages and stated response times.

A visitor who submits a form or inquiry has already converted in one sense — they took the action the business wanted — but the interaction can still fail if what happens next is unclear or broken. Revvye checks whether an inquiry form returns a same-page confirmation, whether the site states a real expectation of response time, and whether a scheduler's confirmation step leads to a page that actually exists rather than a broken link or a blank screen.

This dimension exists because follow-up failure is a common, quiet leak: a form that "submits to a black hole, with no confirmation page and no stated response time on the page itself" leaves the visitor uncertain whether their action even registered, which increases the odds they'll simply try a competitor instead of waiting. This matters most for businesses where the visitor's next step is a human follow-up — consultations, quotes, and custom bookings — rather than an instant, automated confirmation.

Follow-up readiness is closely tied to conversion path and trust: a business that clearly tells a visitor what to expect after they act is implicitly telling them the business is organized and responsive, which is itself a trust signal independent of the follow-up actually happening on time.
